YouTube API Services

DealerVision.com uses YouTube API Services to upload and manage vehicle videos on YouTube channels authorized by our customers.

When a dealership authorizes DealerVision to access its YouTube channel, DealerVision receives and stores an OAuth authorization token with permissions to upload videos and manage channel content.

We store the authorization token, the IDs of videos uploaded through our software, playlist information, and records of video description and privacy-status changes.

This information is used to:

  • Upload vehicle walkaround videos to the dealership’s authorized YouTube channel.

  • Set video titles, descriptions, keywords, and thumbnails using dealership settings and vehicle information.

  • Update video descriptions when vehicle pricing changes.

  • Change a video’s privacy status to private when its associated vehicle is sold or removed from inventory.

  • Add uploaded videos to dealership playlists.

These automated activities are performed as dealership inventory changes.

DealerVision does not access YouTube viewer data, analytics, or other channel content unrelated to these services. YouTube-related data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train models.

Video IDs may be displayed on the dealership’s website and syndicated vehicle listings as links to videos the dealership has chosen to publish.

Authorization tokens are deleted when a dealership disconnects its YouTube account. Customers may request deletion of stored YouTube-related data using the procedure described below. Such requests are processed within seven calendar days.

DealerVision’s use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. For information about Google’s privacy practices, please review the Google Privacy Policy.

Revoking YouTube Access

You may revoke DealerVision’s access to your YouTube account at any time using either of the following methods:
